Dr. Xiwei HUANG is currently an Associate Professor in the School of Electronics and Information at Hangzhou Dianzi University (HDU), China. Heobtained the B.Eng. degree in Information Engineering from Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT), China in 2009, and the Ph.D. degree in Electronic Engineering at Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore in 2015. From February 2011 to January 2014, he also attached to Integrated Circuits and Systems Lab of Institute of Microeconomics, Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR), Singapore, as a joint PhD candidate. He is a visiting professor at Research Laboratory of Electronics (RLE) at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) from May 2019 to April 2020.


His interdisciplinary research interests include CMOS multimodal sensor, biomedical circuits and systems design, lab-on-a-chip, and microfluidic on-chip imaging system for point-of-care diagnostics and applications. He is the PI or co-PI of one major NSFC project, one NSFC youth project, one provincial key project, and two provincial general projects. He has over 30 journal publications, over 20 conference publications, 2 book chapters, 1 book, 2 patents, and one ISSCC SRP award. He is a recipient of the Provincial Young and Middle-aged Academic Leader Award (2017), and Provincial Qianjiang Talent Award (2018). He is an IEEE member in SSCS and CAS Society. He is also a vice secretary of the IEEE EDS Hangzhou Chapter. He has served as a guest editor for the special issue in Sensors and IEEE Journal of Biomedical and Health Informatics, as well as invited reviewer for many prestigious journals and conferences.
