The School of Electronics and Information Engineering is one of the most historical and prestigious department in Hangzhou Dianzi University. With the booming of electronics and IT industries, the school develops tremendously and establishes a complete education system including bachelor, master and doctoral programs

Since 2013, the Electronic Science and Technology discipline has officially been qualified for granting the Doctoral Degree, and awarded the Most Key Discipline in Zhejiang Province. In 2015, the Electronic Science and Technology discipline was officially granted the Grade-A Discipline in Zhejiang Province. Electronic Science and Technology discipline ranks 19 nation-wide (top 14.29%) in the Chinese Post-graduate Education Ranking of 2016-2017 and ranks 11 in the Chinese University Discipline Evaluation Report of 2016.

Aiming at the great needs for integrated circuits in China and by undertaking a number of national key projects such as 973, 863, NSFC key projects, etc., significant contributions have been made in millimeter-wave and terahertz integrated circuits and application-specific systems, VLSI designs, novel integrated devices, and EDA technology. High-quality papers are published each year in top journals and conferences. Meanwhile, research groups collaborate closely with the industry to facilitate technology transfer 

There are currently 185 faculty members working in the School of Electronics and Information Engineering. Among them 41 are professors, 70 are associate professors and 74 lecturers. Our faculty members focus on various research fields. Within recent five years our faculty and students have published over 200 high quality SCI papers and have won 1 State Natural Science Award, 1 National TeachingAward, 1 Defense Science and Technology Progress Award as well as 6 Provincial awards.
